Robert Markham, piano

British pianist Robert Markham has earned international recognition as Finalist in the 1994 Tchaikovsky Competition in Moscow. He has also been First Prize-Winner of the International Vicenzo Bellini Piano Competition in Italy and received the Piano Prize of the BBC-TV Young Musician of the Year Competition.

Mr. Markham grew up in Hull, England, studying at Chetham's School of Music in Manchester. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at The Juilliard School. Mr. Markham has performed extensively with orchestras and in recitals in Great Britain, Canada, Taiwan, Italy, and Russia. Among his many appearances are performances with the London Symphony Orchestra, and the Philomusica of London. He has also been the featured soloist at Lloyd's of London Tercentenary Celebration.
