Irina Edelstein, piano

Irina Edelstein studied at the Moscow Conservatory with I. Milstein. Her early performing career was spent touring the former Soviet Union and recording regularly for Radio Moscow. She left the Soviet Union for Israel in 1975. Since then concerto and recital tours have taken her to Belgium, Holland, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece, the United States, and South Korea. Irina Edelstien has appeared as soloist with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, Hessischer Rundfunk Symphony Orchestra, Las Palmas Symphony Orchestra, Hungarian Symphony Orchestra, Hamburger Chamber Orchestra, Sudbayerische Symphoniker, various orchestras in Israel, the former Soviet Union, and others. She made numerous recordings for BBC, Israel and German broadcasts.

While on tour in Germany she was offered a position as a Professor at the Hochschule fur Musik in Frankfurt which she still holds. Irina Edelstein is also a founder and artistic director of the Frankfurt based chamber orchestra "Concerto Grosso".
